I do not watch the show Girls. Not for any particular reason, I just don’t. I have friends who love it and I have been meaning to get there, I just have not had the time. I do, however know what Lena Dunham looks like and that she is usually quite unclothed in the show. I give her mad props for this because it’s about time a girl who is not size 2 let it all hang out on the regular. Let’s be clear – Lena Dunham is not fat in the real world, but in Hollywood world she is. Apparently, in the last episode she had a 2 day romp with a hot guy played by Patrick Wilson – YUM! Of course, the write ups that followed where the typical a-hole responses: How could a girl who looks like Dunham land a guy who looks like Wilson? Really!? Apparently, unless “fat” women in Hollywood are treated like they were in Magic Mike, the public is being asked to accept the inconceivable. I can’t believe that in 2013 we are still having this conversation. Ridiculous!
I have a hard time believing that Dunham did not know this is exactly way would happen, so hats off to her for pushing an envelope that should not even exist anymore.

I saw the episode–I guess I’m not surprised people are talking about the match up because neither of them seemed like the other’s type, regardless of where they fall on the hawt/fug scale… in reality, a conventionally attractive older doctor isn’t everyone’s type, ykwim? It’s worth watching just to see how the tryst ends: I was throwing shit at my tv trying to get her to STOP. ;P
I heard it was sort of painful to watch and the few clips I saw made me feel the same way. It was awkward for many reasons!!
